This is for a fat quarter of naturally dyed 100% Dorr wool
The beautiful and bold yellow comes from Reseda luteola, commonly known as weld. This plant has been used by natural dyers for centuries and is known as the most color fast of all the yellows.
Starting from seed, I organically grew and harvested the weld used to dye this spectacular yellow. My entire front yard is dedicated to plants that produce dye pigment and/or attract pollinators. The bees particularly love all the tiny flowers that bloom during the second year of this biennial plant.
Perfect for rug hooking, applique, rug braiding, quilting, and any other craft your creativity can imagine!
